A destroyed culture is a destroyed identity. As many of Ondo State indigenes in diaspora desire cultural identity preservation engagement amidst influencial civilisation, for present and future generation of Ondo State indigenes in diaspora, Office of the Governor of Ondo State Government in Nigeria, in collaboration and partnership with Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo in Ondo State Nigeria, and Heritage Promotion in Nigeria respectively, finally evolve a solution platform that simultaneously address challenge of cultural promotion and investment promotion.
Ondo Diaspora Festival is an annual six days festival that holds in rotational venue within Ondo State, aim at creating cultural exhibition and promotion for sons and daughters of Ondo State in diaspora.
Ondo Diaspora Festival is another version of various annual festivals in the eighteen local government of Nigeria, that consider dates that suitable for Ondo state indigenes abroad to attend physically in Ondo state, using such six days festival platform to showcase creative culture of people of Ondo state, and investment potential in Ondo state before Ondo indigenes in diaspora and their friends who are in attendance to the event, and also transmits event live for global view.
As Owo community prepares to host maiden edition of Ondo Diaspora Festival in November 2024, organisers of Ondo Diaspora Festival specially thank festival coordinators in each of the eighteen local government areas in Ondo State, and the chairpersons of Ondo State Communities in United State of America, Europe, Canada, Africa, Asia, and States in Nigeria outside Ondo State, for their effort in keeping Ondo State culture flying in diaspora.
